About

Castor + Pollux is and gallery and bookstore located on Brighton’s beach front. We first opened in 2002 just in time for Christmas. Our gallery specializes in print and illustration by both local and international artists with changing exhibitions. The bookstore has a wide variety of art and design books specifically with graphics in mind.

In addition to these we also have textiles, glass, pottery, a kids department, jewellery and stationery.

Castor + Pollux is on Brighton’s lower promenade halfway between the piers, and opens out onto the beach with direct views of the sea.

Walk down the hill from the station, cross over the seafront road and down the steps onto the beach. Turn left and we are fifty yards along, past the Fortune of War pub and the Arc Bar.

We’re open every day from 11am - 5pm.

Boxing weekend - open Sat & Sun, 11 - 4
Monday 28th to Thursday 31st, 12 - 4
New Year’s Day, 11 - 4
Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd, 11 - 4

We’ll be closed for a bit of a refurb between Jan 4th and Feb 5th 2010, and we’ll be open from 11am - 4pm between Feb 6th and Easter.
